OPTIONAL Student Chromebook Insurance

Chromebook insurance is recommended for students beginning in ninth grade. In high school, students are expected to bring their Chromebooks to different classes, as well as home to complete assignments. For individual, private insurance we work together with Securranty. If you are interested in purchasing Chromebook insurance, you may go to our Bolton Public Schools page at  Securranty Insurance. The current cost of a district Chromebook is $305.

Student Data Privacy

Bolton Public Schools is committed to the education and safety of all its community members. As we work to integrate and provide meaningful educational and technological experiences for our students, we do so in compliance with both Federal and State legislation. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is federal legislation designed to protect the privacy of student education records. In addition, as of October 1, 2016, all new contracts must also be in compliance with Connecticut State Law, PA 16-189, An Act Concerning Student Data Privacy. We will use this page to share with parents and community information and contracts as they are updated.
