Please extend your warmest congratulations to

Linda Armstrong

BHS LMC Instructional Assistant

and “keeper” of the Building Use request forms!

June 2013 Employee of the Month

Linda was nominated by Ray Boyd for her amazing balancing act in keeping the school calendar correctly noted for all afterschool activities.  This is a “HUGE” job that requires constant follow-up, re-scheduling (8 snow days and 3 early dismissals) and much patience. (Not to mention pinning Ray down for signatures on every Building Use form that is received throughout the year.)

No easy feat, but done so well!

 JENNIFER CARVALHO

BOLTON'S TEACHER OF THE YEAR

2012 - 2013

toy2012-2013.jpg

Jennifer Carvalho, a 1997 graduate of Bolton High School, returned to BHS in  2005 as a science teacher and currently instructs classes in Biology and Human Biology.   Last year, Jen was a huge contributor to the success of the pilot tablet program which has been expanded due in part to her hard work and creativity with that teaching method.  Her energy and talents go well beyond the classroom.  She has been the Director of BHS's Drama Club for several years and has entertained the Bolton community with such productions as Urinetown, Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  In coordination with the One Book, One Region summer reading program, Jen put together a community program honoring the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 and the book selection Extremely Close, Incredibly Loud.   In addition to being named Bolton's Teacher of the Year, Jen has been selected as one of 15 semifinalists for the State Teacher of the Year program.  Please join the very proud administration and staff at Bolton Public Schools in congratulating Jen.
