From the Superintendent
It is the mission of the Bolton Public Schools to provide a safe, engaging, and challenging environment in which all students develop essential skills and values. The Bolton Public Schools Strategic Plan for 2015 – 2020 is our road map and builds on past district successes while facing new systemic challenges head-on. The Strategic Plan outlines the core values, beliefs, and student outcomes of the district. We believe:
- Quality education is an indispensable community investment for the future of students and society.
- Quality education is a partnership that requires commitment, communication, and collaboration among the student, family, school and the community
- All students are valued and have the right to an education that meets their academic, physical and social/emotional needs.
- It is important for students to recognize and value excellence.
- High expectations and shared accountability are essential for the success of each student.
Guided by our Strategic Plan, we sought input from all stakeholders to develop a shared vision regarding the attributes that matter most for future graduates of the Bolton Public Schools. The collective vision of the learner, known as the Portrait of a Graduate, defines the qualities and attributes that we expect all Bolton students to develop in order to be successful in college, career, life, and as global citizens. Our Portrait of a Graduate can be found at https://www.boltonpublicschools.com/pog.
We are proud of the many achievements of our students in academics, the arts, and athletics and encourage our students to discover their individual talents and interests through participation in our extracurricular offerings and community service experiences. Our outstanding team of administrators and faculty in the Bolton Public Schools is committed to engaging in collaborative work with families to continuously improve our efforts focusing on challenging and supporting our students. Our schools foster an environment focused on respect, responsibility, and compassion for others to maximize academic engagement and achievement for all students.
